The
Problem
Accounting
was not completely organised, with the logging of work individually
kept
by
staff members in diaries, notebooks etc. There was a
need for an accurate logging
system. However,
even as experts on Computer Aided Design software systems,
the
engineers were not willing to cope with complicated management
packages involving
linked
departments and complex accessibility.
There
was a need for a very simple timing device which needed no
training
or expertise.
The
Solution
Tony
Spiers, Director of Four Four Time Limited, designed a simple
software
package
consisting of a Time Log operated by a simple start - stop
system.
The
application produces reports
- of time spent on projects by date, date range or in total.
- Of daily activity on all current projects worked on in a
given day
- Activity within a given date range
There
are added features such as
- an “Add a Note”facility, for any note desired,
including time spent
away from the computer.
- Manually add time - either for meetings, or if forgotten
to switch on
- Automatic switch on if desired
- Automatic switch off
- Reminder alarm

to the nearest minute

Senior Project Engineer prints off his day logs and sticks
them in his day book.
He
was recently burgled, and lost his mobile phone, brief case
etc. However, he was
